MANA

"There is a critical need for our rising generation to know that they are valuable and important. The youth today are bombarded with negative messages that lower their self-esteem and limit their amazing potential. Through culture, I aim to ignite their courage, belief, confidence, and MANA"

Testimonials
"Bernard has a genuine passion for his craft and is highly enthusiastic about passing his skills and two children. Bernard also includes some life lessons in his workshops and explains these through references to a variety of cultural beliefs and their dance styles. I cannot recommend Bernard highly enough. The students have asked me to book him again".

About Bernard
Bernard is a father of three boys and a husband to a beautiful wife. He is of Maori, Fijian, American Indian and Scottish decent. His passion in life has been his family and finding out more about his ancestors and their stories. In his discoveries Bernard has come to realise the importance of family history and the relationship with past and present relatives. He believes that stories from your family "make up who you are" and "give us a sense of purpose and identity". It has been Bernards life long goal to help others achieve a sense of identity through learning and connecting with ancestral roots. Sharing his culture and educating others, has helped many to find their own MANA.
